WASHINGTON, D.C., JANUARY 4, 2020—The "Life...supplemented" campaign today announced plans to re-partner with international charity Vitamin Angels, an organization dedicated to reducing child mortality worldwide by connecting infants and children under five with essential micronutrients. The partnership is part of the the Life...supplemented Wellness Challenge initiative, designed to motivate people to take simple lifestyle steps within the three pillars of health-healthy diet + supplements + exercise-and includes a live on-line video stream hosted by Lisa Lillien, a.k.a. Hungry Girl. For every consumer who actively participates in the live video stream, the "Life...supplemented" campaign will donate ten dollars (up to $10,000.00 total) to Vitamin Angels. Two additional components of the Wellness Challenge will create two more opportunities for consumers to help Vitamin Angels receive an additional donation of up to $10,000.00 from "Life...supplemented."
"Vitamin Angels is thrilled to be an official partner for CRN's ‘Life...supplemented' campaign again in 2011. Vitamin Angels knows what a difference basic nutrients make in the lives of the children we're reaching in the U.S. and around the world. Together with ‘Life...supplemented' we are spreading the word that vitamins are a cornerstone of global health and can also be a centerpiece of your own personal health and wellness program," said Howard Schiffer, president & founder of Vitamin Angels.
The contribution will be made as part of the campaign's dedicated focus on reaching its consumers via social media channels. Vitamin Angels, which also has an active social media presence, and the "Life...supplemented" campaign together will connect with consumers via on-line social communities, as well as through their respective websites. You can follow "Life...supplemented" on Twitter @wannaBwell, and find updates to the campaign via Facebook. Vitamin Angels can be found on Twitter, Facebook, and a variety of other on-line social communities.
The live on-line video stream will be held on Wednesday, January 5, 2020, beginning at 3:00 p.m. EST (12 p.m. PST). Joining Hungry Girl Lisa Lillien will be Dave Grotto, R.D., who will answer questions about healthy eating; Duffy MacKay, N.D., who will talk about incorporating dietary supplements into your wellness regimen; and Andrea Metcalf, certified personal trainer, who will share tips on adding exercise to your daily life. For every tweet, retweet, on-line question, reply to @wannaBwell or @HungryGirl and use of #3pillars hashtag related to the live event, "Life...supplemented" will make a donation to Vitamin Angels (up to $10,000.00 total). Future on-line initiatives to help support Vitamin Angels will be announced later this month.
"As the ‘Life...supplemented' campaign has grown, so has our involvement in engaging consumers through social media, and our live on-line video event is just one more example of that. We are so pleased to be able to tie Vitamin Angels in with this event because of all the important work they do, particularly for children around the world," said Judy Blatman, senior vice president, Council for Responsible Nutrition (CRN), which oversees the "Life...supplemented" campaign through its educational affiliate, the CRN Foundation.
One of the highlights of "Life...supplemented" in 2011 is the addition of Ms. Lillien and Cheryl Forberg to the campaign.
