WASHINGTON, D.C., JANUARY 4, 2020 -The "Life...supplemented" campaign today announced plans to partner with international charity Vitamin Angels, an organization dedicated to bringing essential nutrition to children around the world through vitamins. The partnership is part of the campaign's America's Wellness Challenge initiative, designed to motivate people to take simple lifestyle steps within the three pillars of health-healthy diet + supplements + exercise-and includes a sweepstakes offering consumers the chance to win $15,000.00*. For every consumer who enters America's Wellness Challenge, and takes the free on-line tool My Wellness Scorecard, the "Life...supplemented" campaign will donate one dollar (up to $10,000.00) to Vitamin Angels.
"Our goal is to provide malnourished children across the globe with the vital nutrients they desperately need for good health," said Howard Schiffer, president & founder of Vitamin Angels. "Vitamins save lives-this donation from the ‘Life...supplemented' program will help us continue our mission of bringing important vitamins to impoverished children so they have an opportunity to lead more productive lives. Projects such as Operation 20/20, which seeks to reduce child and infant mortality rates, and Thrive to Five, which provides children and mothers with the essential nutrients needed for optimal physical and cognitive development, will certainly benefit from this generous contribution."
The contribution will be made as part of the campaign's dedicated focus on reaching its consumers via social media channels. Vitamin Angels, which also has an active social media presence, and the "Life...supplemented" campaign together will connect with consumers via on-line social communities, as well through their respective websites. You can follow "Life...supplemented" on Twitter under wannaBwell, and find updates to the campaign via Facebook. Additionally, Vitamin Angels can be found on Twitter, Facebook, and a variety of other on-line social communities. You can enter America's Wellness Challenge Sweepstakes through the campaign's Facebook and Twitter accounts, and at the campaign's website.
"We know that everyday more consumers head to on-line channels for specific information on health and wellness, and the ‘Life...supplemented' campaign recognizes the importance of being accessible in these on-line spaces," said Judy Blatman, senior vice president, CRN. "We're excited to extend our reach into these communities, and look forward to fostering deeper relationships with consumers who have a vested interest in overall wellness through the use of healthy diet, supplements and exercise."
One highlight of the expanded social media program is a Social Media Advisory Board, comprised of influential and knowledgeable social media gurus who already have a passion for wellness, and who embrace the three pillars of health-healthy diet + dietary supplements + exercise. The Advisory Board members include: Andrea Metcalf (Fit Today); Cascia Talbert (Healthy Moms); Christine Peterson (Foresight); Danielle Omar (Food Confidence); Jenn Fowler (Frugal Upstate); Liz Scherer (Flashfree); and Sheryl Kraft (HealthyWomen.org).
