Are You An AlphaWELL or An OhWELL

"Life…supplemented" Unveils Campaign To Help Consumers Measure Their Wellness Habits

WASHINGTON, D.C., SEPTEMBER 27, 2020 — Today the creators of the "Life…supplemented" campaign set out to determine if we are a nation of AlphaWells, Wells, WannabeWells or OhWells. With the launch of a new Web site — www.lifesupplemented.org — which includes the free interactive tool My Wellness Scorecard, consumers can now measure their wellness regimen and determine where they fall on the "Life…supplemented" wellness scale. The campaign, which is managed by the Council for Responsible Nutrition, allows consumers to assess their level of wellness by focusing on the three pillars of health: healthy diet, supplements and exercise, along with other smart healthy lifestyle choices.

"Whether you're a Baby Boomer or Gen-Xer, live in a red or blue state, everyone can use a simple tool to help evaluate their wellness regimen," says Liz Neporent, national health expert and co-author of multiple fitness books. "Anyone — even people who are extremely proactive and meticulous about their overall health and well-being — will benefit from completing My Wellness Scorecard and the actionable tips specific to their score."

Are you an AlphaWELL, WELL, WannabeWELL or OhWELL?

My Wellness Scorecard prompts visitors to answer 36 questions about the healthy (or not so healthy) lifestyle choices they are making including their diet, use of dietary supplements and physical activity. After the brief online interview, respondents find out immediately if they are:

  • AlphaWELL - extremely proactive and meticulous about their overall health and well-being
  • WELL - often focused on and proactive about their overall health and well-being
  • WannabeWELL - recognize the importance of taking care of themselves, but sometimes find it difficult to follow through
  • OhWELL - scored below average in nearly every category, but want to find ways to improve their lifestyle choices

Visitors to the site also will find easy-to-follow tips to improve their wellness profile; interesting facts about high-profile members of the "Life…supplemented" Wellness Cohort; a reference guide to dietary supplements; articles relating to the three pillars of health; and information about general health and wellness.

"This campaign is about helping people take notice of their wellness regimen, to discover ways to improve their habits and to educate them about the role supplements can play in filling nutritional gaps and lifestyle needs," said Ms. Neporent.

A recent consumer lifestyle study conducted by the Council for Responsible Nutrition showed that 68% of American adults — more than 150 million people — already use supplements as part of their wellness regimen.
